Vincentian designer Peta Odini has captivated the international fashion scene, even though her path wasn’t always intertwined with the t extile i ndustry. She began her journey in modeling, immersing herself in the vibrant world of Caribbean fashion, igniting a passion that led her to study menswear design. This training laid the foundation for the unique aesthetic of her eponymous brand.
Odini’s creative process is fueled by her love for fabrics, which become the starting point for each collection. Inspired by urban fashion, particularly from Asia, she pushes boundaries, creating bold, functional designs. Her distinctive style has projected itself onto a global stage, highlighted by her participation in Portugal Fashion Week, where she became the first Caribbean designer to be part of the event. The presented collection, Slow Boat 2022, remains her favorite to this day. This milestone marked a turning point for Peta Odini, solidifying her brand’s international recognition and propelling her to new heights.
With her sights set on the future, Odini continues to innovate, working on a new collection slated to debut in late 2024 or early 2025, culminating in the 10th anniversary of her brand. Collaborating with other designers and pushing the limits of her work, her dedication to her craft, and passion for her Caribbean heritage, drive her to continue climbing the fashion world, leaving a lasting mark on the global style landscape.
La diseñadora sanvicentina, Peta Odini ha conquistado la escena internacional de la moda tras un viaje que comenzó en el modelaje. Su pasión por la moda la llevó a estudiar diseño para confecciones masculinas, sentando las bases para la estética singular de su marca.
