Jamaica hosts third Caribbean Travel Forum

Topics crucial to the success of tourism in the Caribbean will be debated until next Thursday in Montego Bay, by prominent professionals from the region and other countries, including the business possibilities of the area and the strategies to adopt in favor of this important regional industry.

Leveraging data, improving multi-destination marketing, boosting travel within the Caribbean, implementing technology for innovation, improving operational efficiency, expanding tourism links, navigating the labor constraints of the market and the adoption of new market penetration strategies are crucial aspects that those attending this important event will debate.

Speaking at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) forum, President Nicola Madden-Greig reported key data and insights, including the results of the entity's recent annual performance and outlook survey. It is also planned to announce the launch of the "Guide to the transformation of artificial intelligence for tourism in the Caribbean", an initiative led by the CHTA Technology Working Group, extremely important as it is the first of its kind published by a regional hotel and tourism association.
This momentous document represents an important advance in the incorporation of this technology in the tourism sector of the region and was prepared based on the fundamental guide of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), “Introduction to artificial intelligence (AI) technology¨ Guide for travel and tourism leaders.

The guide provides essential knowledge and practices tailored to the unique context of Caribbean tourism, with the aim of highlighting the myriad benefits of AI adoption and addressing challenges and concerns that may arise.
