The Republic of Haiti proudly holds the distinction of being the first black nation to achieve independence, a monumental achievement that resonates with its people to this day. Haiti offers stunning natural sites like Labadee’s beaches, Bassin Bleu waterfalls, and Grotte Marie-Jeanne caves. Its UNESCO heritage includes La Citadelle Fortress and the Pantheon Museum. Haiti’s culinary uniqueness lies in its fusion of French, Lebanese, and Creole flavors, creating a tantalizing gastronomic experience.

Within the Caribbean Community, it adds a unique flavour to the linguistic tapesty of the community with its official language: French. With the largest population among CARICOM nations, Haiti plays a vital role in fostering regional integration.

In the occasion of CARICOM’s 50th anniversary, Haiti holds the Pro-tempore Presidency of the Caucus of the CARICOM Diplomatic Corps (April-June 2023).

Haiti, in these challenging times, stands resolute, expressing its heartfelt wish for a peaceful future and reinterring its unwavering commitment to unity, for it is through unity that CARICOM can continue fortifying itself in order to be a stronger community.

La República de Haití ostenta con orgullo la distinción de ser la primera nación negra en alcanzar la independencia, un logro monumental que resuena con su gente hasta el día de hoy.

Su vibrante cultura es un tapiz tejido con influencias africanas, francesas e indígenas, expresada a través de la música, la danza y el arte, cautivadores.

Haití ofrece impresionantes sitios naturales como las playas de Labadee, las cascadas Bassin Bleu y las cuevas Grotte Marie-Jeanne. En la ocasión del 50 aniversario de la CARICOM, Haití mantiene la Presidencia Pro-Tempore del cuerpo diplomático de la CARICOM (abril-junio 2023).
