Fashion accessories help to highlight a feminine image; they add a modern feel and glow to a basic wardrobe, and they make your look complete.
A bijoux accessory always lends character to your outfit, which is why it is important to know how to pick one out.
Two well-known Cuban artists present us with their creations this summer: the experienced Mayra Victoria Erviti Sasturrias and the young but already-successful Mayelín Guevara Domínguez.
Erviti Sasturrias, an artist/artisan and designer, was the winner of the Fashion Show and Costume Jewellery Award at Cuba's 2004 International Arts and Crafts Fair. Her work is inspired by nature and the elements, from which she takes her materials, such as seashells, glass beads, ribbons and wood.
Pieces by Erviti Sasturrias can be found in many of Cuba's hotels and art galleries, where they are sold through the national cultural assets fund, the Fondo Cubano de Bienes Culturales and Artex. Her work can also be found at the Casa de la Moda Cubana in New York and in galleries in Italy, England, Denmark, Mexico, Chile, Switzerland and Holland.
