From Habanos expert to fashion designer—how did Vihumos come to be? What sparked the idea? Why choose between fashion and cigars? The pandemic was the catalyst. With the world on pause, I needed to create, to stay sane. I drew inspiration from my own style, which had always been well received, and that’s how Vihumos was born—featuring guayabera-style dresses and handbags made from recycled cigar boxes and leather scraps. How does Vihumos capture the essence of Cuba? At Vihumos, we bring together rum, tobacco, and music—three fundamental pillars of our identity—into a sensory experience. It’s a journey through the flavors, aromas, and sounds of our island. What advice would you give to women who dream of starting their own business? Go for it! It doesn’t matter where, how, or when— chase your dreams! Turn obstacles into strengths and live each step of the journey with passion. Success lies in the journey itself. This is the story of a modern woman who proved that dreams can come true. Vihumos is one of them.
