People who love underwater photography have another great opportunity coming up: Fotosub
2014, which will be held in May in the waters that surround Cayo Largo, a paradise-like little island located in southern Cuba.
Contestants have the chance to win 17 prizes in this photography contests, three in each competing category, and a grand prize for whoever accumulates the most points by category: absolute
champion of the event, and best model.
 Fotosub 2014, another opportunity for photography professionalsThe categories are fish, environment, environment with model, macro, and macro with theme. Participants can compete in several categories, and therefore win several prizes, as long as they follow the rules of the contest.
The last contest, the 14th International Championship of Underwater Photography, was attended by 34 photographers from 18 countries.
The event is organized by the Marlin S.A. Nautical and Marina Business Group, with consulting by the Cuban Federation of Underwater Activities. Cayo Largo, which is located 177 kilometers south of Havana, has 125 kilometers of white beaches with crystal-clear ocean waves and virgin sea bottoms, with plenty of caves, reefs and sandy valleys inhabited by crustaceans, sponges, corals, and a countless number of brightly-colored fish that offer ocean-lovers magnificent, incredible underwater landscapes.
