Cubaplus

The Centro de Neurociencias de Cuba (CNEURO), a high-tech company belonging to the Group of Industria Biotecnológica y Farmacéutica, BioCubaFarma, with more than 30 years of experience in the area of Neurotechnology and Public Health: researches, develops, produces and markets medical equipment and software for the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system disorders aimed at protecting mental capital. It offers Clinical, Scientific-Technical and Consulting services, as well as National and International Technical Assistance.

CNEURO

We work closely with the Ministerio de Salud Pública (MINSAP) in the national health program for hearing impairment with the Hearing Centers of each province optimizing use of the installed 3D technology capabilities in order to take the impression of each patient’s ear mold and subsequently process digitally in CNEURO to press personalized molds and housings, in addition to clinical neurophysiology network care.

CNEURO offers comprehensive solutions in technological packages with necessary equipment, program design, training and support in the implementation and advice of programs with international experience in several countries including Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Angola and Bolivia.

The technological health care packages for hearing disability in neonatal screening and for older adults aim to lessen the negative consequences of hearing deficit, including even avoiding them if diagnosed and treated on time.

CNEURO

In relation to neurophysiology and telemedicine, CNEURO offers equipment for conducting neurophysiological studies, clinical examinations and complementary studies that enable the timely treatment of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. CNEURO has incorporated digital technology applied to the field of dentistry, providing a manufacturing service for dental prostheses using modern 3D-based techniques with a design and manufacturing system allowing individual manufacture of the product requested, giving the patient high-quality personalized dental solutions.

CNEURO’s lines of research address issues associated with cognitive, social and experimental neurosciences, clinical neurophysiology, neurochemistry and molecular biology and neuroinformatics. CNEURO is embedded in important global initiatives for studies of Neurosciences and Neurotechnologies such as the Global Brain Consortium, the International Brain Initiative and the Cuba-China-Canada axis, which promote the development of technologies based on neuroinformatics with great impact on basic and applied research, such as clinical trials of innovative products. Additionally, CNEURO establishes solid scientific collaborations with prestigious foreign institutions in Germany, the Netherlands, China, Colombia or other countries. Main projects:

CNEURO

- Technology for the management of neurodevelopmental disorders. This project has the general objective of developing a technology package dedicated to detection and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders more common at school age, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and deficit attention with or without hyperactivity. - Search for biomarkers for Alzheimer disease, diagnosis and treatment. Obtaining and evaluating a variety of organic compounds (called amylovis) that can be used as precursors for diagnosing and acting as modulators of the protein folding process.

- Aging, evaluation and technological intervention. Study of an early marker that predicts the evolution of neurodegenerative processes such as Alzheimer’s disease and other syndromes, allowing more accurate diagnosis and identification of new cognitive intervention and / or rehabilitation strategies.
