' Pais en Construccion' Collection Opens Fashion Week in Cuba
The 15th edition of the Art and Fashion Week opens on Thursday with the premiere of the Pais En Construccion collection, at the Cuban Arts building of the National Museum of Fine Art.
The exhibition, from the art shop Clandestina, uses essential elements for the construction of a country, such as picks, shovels, helmets and coveralls fused with the dynamism of the workers and the transformation of the landscape. According to the organizers, this will be a special occasion to exhibit the creations that decorate the art of dressing and the work of national and international designers. One of the collections will present the costumes that were exhibited during the 'Artes de Cuba' Festival held at the Kennedy Center, in the United States, in a special combination of imagination and creativity. The emblematic style of Jackie Kennedy will be inspiration for one of the collections, this time by Cuban Jacqueline Fumero and the title 'Jackie, her elegance'. British designer Natalie Wildgoose's Children in the Garden fashion collection will participate as a special guest. Wildgoose was in Cuba on the occasion of the British Culture Week in Havana. The program also includes the photographic exhibition by artist Eduardo Rodriguez, who will show a sui generis work that marks the return of fashion photography made in Cuba.
