Loved by British, German, Canadian and national holidaymakers, Varadero´s boulevard is nowadays a new recreational product.

This tourist square, featured by a wide diversity, showed its charms for the first time at its opening, on November 2, to a familiarization group (FAM) made up of travel agents, tour operators and journalists from Germany.

The boulevard belongs to the Palmares hotel company, which is responsible for commercial operation, and its Director-General in the western province of Matanzas Rosa María García assured that 'it is one of the most important investments conceived for the International Tourism Fair (FITCuba).

FITCuba, the main commercial fair within the framework of the so-called 'industry without chimneys', could not be held this year given the Covid-19 pandemic and was postponed to May 2021.

Eladio Hernández, director of Varadero´s Boulevard that belongs to the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in Matanzas, told Prensa Latina the boulevard will have 58 constructions, including stores and outlets.

Tourist proposals are very diverse. Here comes a group of important services for recreation and leisure, and it is an area that previously had little flow of customers, he said.
