A large delegation from Cuba is attending on Thursday the World Tourism Fair in Paris, in order to foster many attractions and the new features Cuba is offering.
The Cuban stand presents visitors with up-to-date information on the tourist market and the new modalities to be marketed, with offers of nature tourism, tours, circuits, heritage cities, events and incentives, diving, navigation, cultural and health tourism, among others. The Ministry of Tourism, Havanatur Paris and Cubanacan Hotels agencies, as well as representatives of several associated companies such as Iberostar, Blue Diamonds and Melia Hotels, are participating in the fair, running until Sunday. According to a statement, the goal is to achieve a greater positioning of Cuba as a travel Destination in the French market. According to official figures, France was the fifth main tourist-sending market in 2018 to Cuba, with 197,520 tourists. During the fair, the sector's professionals will also be invited to participate in the biggest Cuban tourism event, the 39th edition of the International Tourism Fair, FITCUBA 2019. This year's edition will take place from May 6 to 11, in Havana, on occasion of the 500th anniversary of the founding of the Cuban capital.
