Cuba Business Forum ends fruitfully



The Cuba 2020 Business Forum concluded December 9 in a fruitful way with the conclusion of more than 1,808 business meetings to promote the development of trade and investment on the Island.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Ana Teresita González Fraga, pointed out that the meeting enabled the participating businessmen and women to update on the new exportable offers and the 503 projects that comprises the current Portfolio of Opportunities.

On the other hand, she referred to the participation in the meeting of 60 forms of non-state management, three of which presented their work experiences with state entities, a reflection of the good links between both parties in the import and export of products and materials.

More than 2,359 professionals participated in the event, of which 1,306 were foreign representatives from 104 countries. During the next three months, the platform of the Cuba 2020 Business Forum will remain open so that interested entrepreneurs and businessmen can consult with updated information on commercial activity in the largest of the Antilles.

This meeting, considered of great importance for the favorable exchange between the business community of the Greater Antilles and the rest of the world, was held virtually because this year it was impossible to hold the International Fair of Havana, due to of the difficult epidemiological situation caused by Covid-19 in the world.
