Cuba pays tribute to the famous Havana historian, Eusebio Leal
A deserved tribute to his distinguished work as a historian receives this Thursday Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler, who dedicated his life to highlighting and preserving the values of the Cuban capital.
Funeral services take place in the Hall of Lost Steps of the Havana Capitol, where his ashes are exposed until 4 this afternoon, so that Cubans pay him the honors he deserves.
According to the local press, this Friday will take place the Official Duel farewell, with the presence of State and Government leaders, representatives of political and mass organizations, guests of the Historian's Office, other personalities and friends.
That same day the burial of his remains will take place with a family ceremony in the Convent of San Francisco de Asís in Old Havana (historic center), where he will surely receive the eternal tribute of everyone who visits the place.
The physical disappearance of this famous Cuban took place on July 31, but his funeral services were postponed at that time because of the Covid-19.
The people of Cuba will forever remember Leal, who worked hard for the preservation of the historical values of his beloved Havana, to which he dedicated his soul, heart and life.
