Cuban airports ready to reopen next November
Cuba’s 10 international airports are ready to restart operations, gradually, as of next November 15, according to an announcement on national television.
According to the top executives of Cuban civil aviation, there have been numerous requests from companies operating in the country to increase frequencies, while those that stopped flying to the island expressed their interest in resuming their operations.
The information also adds that in this sense all the sectors involved are working to guarantee the flow of passengers with a minimum of delays, to which the maintenance work carried out at the facilities in recent months should contribute.
The announcement also reminds that from next November 15 the sanitary measures will be more flexible, so that negative PCR will not be required upon arrival of passengers in Cuba, while the vaccination certificate will be recognized, although diagnostic tests will be carried out in a random formal way.
Among the airports ready to restart operations are, in addition to Havana, Varadero and Jardines del Rey, also include those of Cienfuegos, Bayamo and Santiago de Cuba, among others.
