About thirty Cuban companies will participate in the Expo ALADI (Latin American Integration Association) multisectoral business fair that will be held this year virtually from October 26 to 30, according to official sources.
Cuba's Chamber of Commerce arranges the presence of 32 domestic entities, released on Twitter Jose Chaple, director of Trade Policy for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.
The Cuban Computer and Communications Group and its integrated companies Segurmatica, Softel and Cubatel, will be present at the meeting organized in 2020 by Ecuador.
In that way, Cuba will take advantage of the moment to boost the export of goods and services, which is aligned with the country's socioeconomic strategy established to defuse the global Covid-19 crisis exacerbated by the US blockade.
The meeting is aimed at increasing and strengthening trade between the 13 member countries of ALADI, an association to which Cuba belongs since 1999.
The event's goal – which has been held annually since 2014 - is to enhance the opportunities for companies to grow and increase their participation in the regional market, and thus encourage the dissemination of the offer, says the official website of the event.
