Cuba's Premier Trade Fair Demonstrates Resilience

The Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2026) is demonstrating resilience today in the face of the island's economic difficulties and ongoing pressure from the United States.

This resolve is underscored by a Special Electronic Edition designed to connect Cuba with the world and finalize business agreements, as organizers announced in the capital.

Since the middle of this month, the Fair's Organizing Committee has announced the launch of the official platform for the 42nd edition of FIHAV 2026, which will take place virtually from November 24 to 26.

Accordingly, an invitation was extended to domestic and international business communities, as well as to Cubans residing abroad, to register and participate via cuba.feriahabana.cu.

In 2026, amid a complex economic landscape resulting from multidimensional aggression and current contingencies, the Organizing Committee has committed to this Special Edition, demonstrating that Cuba is not standing still: it continues to move forward with its Economic and Social Transformations, opening its doors—now virtual—to keep doing business.

On the platform, exhibitors will be able to showcase products and services, compete for official awards, and take part in the FIHAV 2026 program.

The event will feature thematic zones such as AI, Energy Transition, Tourism, and "Made in Cuba." It will also include a Pavilion dedicated to Cuban regional stands, alongside the traditional country pavilions hosting stands for both international and Cuban business representatives.

In person, the update to the Foreign Investment Portfolio of Business Opportunities will be presented, accompanied by hybrid business rounds, meetings with Cuban entrepreneurs living both on the island and abroad, and sessions with foreign executives currently in the country.

The virtual space will also stream business meetings organized by Cuban diplomatic and consular missions abroad, where official delegations are expected to participate.

Furthermore, organizers encouraged stakeholders to take full advantage of this virtual gateway, noting that distance is no barrier: the platform brings Cuba closer to the world.

This Special Edition of the 42nd FIHAV is the time to join in, participate, and be part of a transforming Cuba, concluded the organizing committee, led by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX).
