Fashion Week in Havana Coming Soon
The fourth edition of Fashion Week in Havana is coming soon, November 20 thru 24, with the participation of 72 Cuban designers and several foreign ones, on this occasion, with a special connotation, as it will be dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the Cuban capital, to be marked next year.
During this event, anxiously awaited by designers, models and clients in general, there will be 48 fashion shows: four of children wear and four theme ones that will show the audience the most recent trends in bathing suits, wedding dresses, caftans and a catwalk specifically for men.
For the first time, during this week there will be a theoretical event with the French Alliance building as venue, to be centered on fashion and the way massive media reports it, the history and personal tastes, contradictions and wise decisions when dressing up.
Attendants will also be able to enjoy a photo exhibition titled #AMAR&YA, of the artist May Reguera, picks photos of the three previous editions.
It was announced that foreign guests such as Paul-Hervé Elisabeth, of Martinique, Eliette Lesuperbe, of Guadeloupe, and Alex Rotin, de France, recognized for his work at the prestigious fashion house Chanel.
This Fourth Fashion Week of Havana will also pay tributwe to the four decades of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Goods (FCBC) and the recognition received by the south central city of Trinidad, declared recently Handicraft City of the World.
