The 38th International Tourism Fair (FITCUBA 2018) has been one of the best held to date, asserted the Cuban Minister of the sector, Manuel Marrero Cruz.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, held in the town of Las Terrazas in Santa Maria Key, Marrero referred the success achieved in this edition of the Fair, as the important agreements signed, among which he mentioned that with the German Group FTI for the management of hotels in Villa Clara, as well as possession of an airplane to make flights between Europe and the greater of the Antilles.
The availability of work tools for the improvement of aior connections in national flights was also negotiated.
In this fair, added the Minister, participated a total of 3319 professionals of 62 countries and 171 representatives of the media, mostly specialized in this sector. The nation with the most participants was Spain with 118, followed by the United States with 98, Mexico with 95 and the United Kingdom with 52.
About the next 39th edition of FITCUBA in 2019, he revealed it would be dedicated to the events and incentives modality, while the guest of honor would be Spain and the venue the Cuban capital, coinciding with the 500th anniversary of its foundation.
FITCUBA concluded with a great party on the beach, full of Cuban spirit under the contagious tunes of the popular orchestra “The Van Van”.
