Guyana's International Building Expo 2024 opens its doors.

With the presence of the President of Guyana, Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the International Building Expo 2024 opened its doors this Thursday, which promises to be a showcase of cutting-edge construction designs and practices in the country.

In the opinion of the Minister of Housing, Collin Croal, the sector he represents is an important driver of the Guyana economy for the development of the country and this fair will be a great opportunity to continue exploring the innovations that are taking place in the housing and construction industry.

Guyana's construction industry has seen significant growth in recent years and this collaboration can foster innovation, create new opportunities and stimulate a push for increased investments and infrastructure projects, so the show also serves as a platform to promote this growth by connecting local companies with international firms.

This event has been and continues to be crucial in linking the construction industry and businesses with consumers and this year, by embracing innovation and fostering collaboration, represents an important step towards showcasing our green building solutions and eco-friendly building practices that promote energy efficiency, reduce waste and minimise environmental impact.

In addition to the Minister of Construction, the inauguration was also attended by other government officials, businessmen and representatives of numerous entities in the sector, the Cuban ambassador to Guyana, Jorge Francisco Soberón, and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in that country, as well as the national and foreign press, including the General Director of the magazine CubaPLUS/Guyana, Mr. Dominic Soave.
