For 24 years, Habanos S. A. has presented 68 Limited Editions of 12 brands that, not despite the time that has passed, they continue to be one of the most anticipated specialties appreciated by fans and collectors of premium tobacco in the world.
A press release this Wednesday by the company adds that the first Limited Editions were Hoyo de Monterrey Particulares, Montecristo Robustos, Partagás Pirámides and Romeo and Juliet Exhibition No. 2. The differentiation and prestige of these launches come not only from the design of their packaging, but also for the exclusivity of the cigars they contain. The Editions Limited cigars are produced in small quantities, and in unusual or unique vitolas within the brand.
In addition, they are aged for a minimum of two years and both drawers like the cigar itself are identified with a ribbon where Limited Edition appears and, the year they were released. As expected, the most emblematic brand of Habanos S.A. is Cohíba with 7 Limited Editions, marketed throughout its history, some of them icons for the brand such as: Cohíba Sublimes Limited Edition 2004, Cohíba 1966, Limited Edition 2016, Cohíba Talismán Limited Edition 2017 and the recently launched Cohíba 55th Anniversary in 2021.
In the case of H. Upmann, the last Limited Edition was presented in 2018 with the H vitola. Upmann Propios, which stands out for being the only medium-caliber cigar in the range, while Hoyo de Monterrey presented last year the Limited Edition Monterreyes No. 4, the brand's seventh since the Epicure Especial vitola was launched in 2004, which It ended up becoming one of the reference ones within the Hoyo de Monterrey portfolio.
In the case of Partagás, the launch of Partagás Legado Limited Edition 2020 stands out (vitola de galera Hermosos No. 2), which was presented in one of the most modern stadiums in Europe, the Wanda Metropolitano of Madrid, and Romeo and Juliet Capulets (ring gauge 53 x 153 mm long) is the latest Limited Edition within the range of this brand, so appreciated by everyone.
Finally, the fine and most recent Limited Edition release was presented at London and corresponds to Habanos Bolívar, with its Regentes vitola, Limited Edition 2021, characterized by its strength and the rich nuances that distinguish the brand. Among these 12 leading brands in the Limited Editions, Trinidad stands out, which precisely celebrates its 55th anniversary this year with the exclusive presentation of Trinidad Cabildos Limited Edition 2024 (Cage 46 x 162 mm long) at the first Habanos World Days in-person event of history, which will take place on June 22 in London.
An exclusive and unique vitola within the Trinidad brand portfolio – whose name gives tribute to the Villa de Santísima Trinidad, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1988 – is “Cabildos”, the name chosen for this new release, in tribute to the historic wealth of the famous town and as a tribute to one of the first councils founded in Cuba during the colonial era.
