Meliá announces long-stay programs in Cuba
The Cuba division of the Spanish hotel chain Meliá announced its new program for Long Stays on the island, which will focus, at least initially, on the destination of Varadero.
A press release of the entity indicates that this new initiative will promote experiences of stays for several weeks or months, for which specific facilities have already been designed at the Meliá Marina Varadero Apartamentos, Meliá Internacional Varadero and Sol Palmeras hotels.
The key elements for this plan focus on the benefits of the destination, its safety, natural and cultural attractions, as well as the health protocols implemented in each hotel, which harmonize with the model scenario that Cuba has represented at the regional level for the control of the pandemic. In addition, the guarantee of primary assistance is offered in each installation, it adds.
It also offers customers in this segment a wide range of outdoor activities to enjoy nature, perform water activities such as diving or snorkelling, sports such as golf, as well as an intense and varied animation program focused on wellness.
Meliá is the main foreign hotel chain operating in Cuba - first in Spain and number twelve in the world - with 39 hotels located in Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo, Cayo Largo, Cayo Santa María, Holguín, Havana, Santiago de Cuba, Varadero, Camagüey and Cienfuegos.
