Varadero resort ready for international tourism

The famous Varadero resort, located in the northern peninsula of Hicacos, Matanzas, will be able to receive international tourism from next October 15, when it will be ready, announced the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba (Mintur).

The information, released recently through a statement, adds that the destination will also be in a position to start air operations that are requested.

Also, it is expected that a medical team will be integrated in all the hotels in the tourist resort to accompany vacationers during their stay and make frequent inquiries about your health.

The initial stage will have a partial opening of the facilities in which customers will be able to enjoy accommodation in four and five-star hotels, with maritime excursions, nature and other activities, within an approved zone, adds the information.

It will also include extra-hotel activities associated with the Chapelin and Gaviota marinas, gastronomic, commercial and recreation services, as well as the dolphinarium, among others.

Another of the measures adopted to avoid transmission of Covid-19 is that all services will be paid for by customers with the use of credit cards to avoid the manipulation of cash.

A sample of the effectiveness of the protocol established during the summer stage, when the resort was open to national tourism, is that in that period there was no spread of Covid-19 in the territory, considered a success by health and sector authorities.

Varadero, located 140 kilometers from Havana, the Cuban capital, is the main sun and beach destination on the Island with fifty hotels that group more than 22 thousand rooms and a varied extra-hotel network with extensive recreational options, especially those dedicated to nautical sports.
