Located in the centre of Guantanamo city, the emblematic Hotel Martí reopened after a full restoration. Elegant, modern and ready to off er quality service to its guests, the hotel restoration is part of the movement being undertaken to reinforce the upscale image of the Islazul Hotel Group in the easternmost province of Cuba.
With its art deco architecture style, the Martí has 21 comfortable rooms, each with their own balcony and satellite TV. Also available on-site are a cybercafé, central security safe, one bar-restaurant, a terrace bar and a restaurant that specializes in international and Cuban food with specials like ajiaco baracoano (vegetable and meat stew) and malanga fritters.

Among the places of interest close to the hotel are the Martí Park, former Arms Square where the Santa Catalina de Ricci Cathedral is located which is one of the smallest cathedrals in the world; the Changüí House (typical music style) and the Trova House; the 1870 restaurant, the home of the Tumba Francesa (traditional cultural dance and style); and routes leading to appealing sites like the Stone Zoo which is located among coffee plantations and is a unique type of zoo created by farmers turned sculptors.
