Under strict health security and protection measures, the Jardines del Rey International Airport on Cayo Coco, in central Cuba, welcomed the first foreign tourists during the post-Covid-19 recovery stage.
The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reiterated that foreign tourists who arrive on the Island and are positive to COVID-19 will receive adequate medical attention, in accordance with established protocols.
The National Hotel of Cuba, symbol of the island's culture, will reopen its doors next November, after maintenance work and refurbishment of its different spaces to offer better quality service, according to facility executives.
On July 1st, the Meliá Internacional and Arenas Blancas hotels, of the Gran Caribe Hotel Group, will restart operations at 60 percent of their capacities and with adequate hygienic-sanitary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
International tourism will restart operations in Cuba as part of the second post-covid-19 phase, announced Tourism Minister Juan Carlos García Granda during his appearance in the Mesa Redonda radio-television program, broadcast this Wednesday.
