InterCaribbean, your best option for traveling in the region

Founded some 30 years ago, InterCaribbean Airlines is highly recognized regionally for the quality of its services and has 22 destinations in 17 Caribbean countries, including Cuba, said Carolina Torres, the company's marketing coordinator.

Specifically for Cubans, she added, we offer flights from Havana and Santiago de Cuba to visa-free Caribbean countries. So it's also a good travel option for passengers, but at the same time, we bring tourists from the different islands in the region who come to explore the destinations here.

Regarding the company's relationship with the largest of the Antilles, he said: "We have always been allies of Cuba, and whenever we see an opportunity to offer flights that are needed in this market, we do so." In this regard, he cited as an example that during COVID-19, we continued flying to Cuba, transporting medical equipment from Cuba to all the Caribbean islands that needed medical professionals.

During the pandemic, he added, "We always have had an excellent relationship with the Cuban market; we have our staff present here. We have a reservations office, group services, and more at the Miramar Business Center, on the first floor of the Barcelona building in Havana. We also have our office at José Martí International Airport."

In response to a question about her company's presence at the recently concluded International Tourism Fair (FITCuba 2025), the executive emphasized that InterCaribbean's participation in the fair has aimed to strengthen and renew the commercial relations we have with Cuba and with the entities linked to the services we want to offer on board our planes.

Specifically, she continued, we have made an agreement for all the snacks and drinks we offer on board our planes to be from Cuba. So we have commercial alliances here with various media outlets, publications, allies, and many friends we have here in Cuba, and it has been a pleasure to revisit them through this fair to strengthen relations and, of course, with a view to continuing connecting Cuba with much more of the Caribbean region.

intercaribbean-3-500.jpgWe are very pleased that through this fair we have been able to connect with more companies, tourism entities, tour operators, travel agents, and everyone involved in tourism, generate new agreements, new alliances, and obviously contribute to moving Cuba's economy forward through the services, products, and suppliers we have here, he emphasized.

Regarding the possibility of opening new destinations for flights to Cuba, he noted that we are more in a phase of consolidating our markets. So, for now, only Havana and Santiago de Cuba, but we are always open to forming alliances with other airlines, for passenger mobility within the region and, above all, as I said, for Cubans traveling to visa-free Caribbean countries to enter those countries. We are there to bring that connectivity to the Cuban market.

Finally, the executive sent a message to Cubans and tourists in general, inviting them to "learn more about the Caribbean, explore other destinations within the region, and visit our offices here again, so we can help you with this market. We hope that more countries in the region can waive their visa requirements so that Cubans have opportunities to travel to neighboring islands, visit them for business, tourism, family gatherings, and many other things that we can develop with this market," she stated.
