Home and industrial products, tools, plastic products, low voltage electric material, specialized productions for infrastructure and others, are among the various services the First of May National Home Utensil Industrial Production Company (INPUD) offers.

For over 55 years INPUD has worked to solidify its presence in Cuban homes through its sales in TRD and other retail stores. INPUD has also to curb substitute imports by increasing its competitiveness in the domestic market and aiming to increase their exports as well.

INPUD’s General Director, Marisel Montero Lago, stated that the company’s mission is to produce and market home and industrial utensils such as tools, accessories, plastic disposable products, electric installation materials, lamps, nonferrous metal castings, specialized productions for infrastructure and culinary tourism, as well as spares for its products.

INPUD was inaugurated on the 24 of July, 1964, by the heroic guerrilla fighter, Ernesto Che Guevara. The company is subordinated to the Ministry of Industry and integrated to ODSE GELECT. Its high competitiveness and highly qualified personnel are its two most important traits. INPUD is the number one national provider for domestic products and specialized tools. It has managed to substitute imports and has gained an important place in the Caribbean and Latin- American markets.
