Capicúa means “head and tail.” How does this mathematical concept inspire the brand’s philosophy? The name represents a complete cycle, a commitment to sustainability, where every element finds a meaningful and eco-friendly purpose. This is reflected in the full use of materials and the creation of timeless pieces. Instead of following the traditional seasonal collection model, how does Capicúa structure its designs? We focus on two main elements: Moods and Capsules, which allow us to explore different facets of our design. What differentiates the Moods from the Capsules within Capicúa? The Moods are the brand’s signature designs, each time featuring a different print, creating a unique piece. The Capsules, on the other hand, are small, limited-edition productions (10-12 copies) that delve into a specific concept. Tell us about the inspiration behind the Esenciales and Primitiva Capsules.

Esenciales was born from the idea of reinterpreting wardrobe basics, offering versatile canvases that allow for diverse styling. Primitiva celebrates Cuban craftsmanship, transforming Telarte fabrics with local designs into garments that highlight the beauty of raw materials while fostering collaboration with local artists. How does Capicúa ensure its garments adapt to various body types with so few sizes? The key lies in our adjustable designs, which incorporate ties and straps to adapt to each person’s shape. Combined with natural fabrics like cotton and a three-size range, we achieve versatility that eliminates the need for additional accessories to ensure the perfect fit.
