Visiting Cancun from January to May will be a two-fold privilege, since while enjoying the fi nest, whitest and warmest sand of the Caribbean, a glorious sun and the best weather of the season, you will have the chance to attend a program of musical shows crowned with a music festival, nourished by the all-time best performers of dance genres.

From Gloria Gaynor to Pitbull, including DJ’s who have triumphed in places such as Ibiza, Cancun and one of its best beach areas will be turned into a large disco during Spring Break, when thousands of young North Americans will arrive during their school holiday.

The promoter of this great event, the OASIS Group, also reestablished the jazz festival of the ‘90s - customarily held in May at the same holiday spot - not only to share it with its guests but also with all vacationers visiting in the same period.

Known as OASIS Jazz U, the jazz encounter will feature presentations by the most prestigious artists of the genre recognized throughout the world. All are backed by professional experience, from the genius of living legend Chick Corea to Trombone Shorty, undoubtedly the latest revelation in the USA.

All have spent years at the top of the Billboard charts, the most prestigious and solid magazine when it comes to information on position and popularity in the music world.

Also attending the festival will be fusion jazz legends like Paquito D’Rivera and Diego &El Cigala," Maceo Parker, Brad Mehldhau and Dianne Reeves.

This first international jazz festival OASIS JAZZ U will take place from May 17 to 26, 2012 in the refurbished Grand OASIS Cancun: The All Inclusive Entertainment Resort.

The OASIS Jazz U festival will feature concerts by six of the world’s main jazz artists, as well as parallel performances held during the festival period in several events that will leave the entire audience with the satisfaction of having enjoyed the true essence of Jazz while staying in one of the best Mexican Caribbean resorts.

This festival aims to make Cancun a reference for the jazz public, becoming part of the world jazz circuit and continuing its celebration in subsequent years.

But that’s not all.

From January to February, also sponsored by the tourist group, several presentations from a plethora of dance music stars will take place for the pleasure of all vacationers.
