The 28th Havana International Trade Fair, to be held the first week of November, will once again be the most important Cuban commercial event. This is the time Cubarsquo;s most valuable partners meet in Havana to learn about new business possibilities and possible investments and to sign contracts.
The event has become one of the most signifi cant of its kind in the region, because every year practically all the countries of the American continent attend. The event also allows contacts between impresarios from third countries.
As in previous editions, FIHAV will be held at the ExpoCuba fairgrounds, some 19 km south of the centre of Havana, hosting more than 300 national exporters from such sectors as consumer goods, construction, cosmetics, leather and textiles, commodities, machinery, services, computer technologies and communications, as well as tourism and medicine.
More than 600 companies from some 50 countries, with offcial pavilions from Span, Brasil, Canada, Italy and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, among others, are expected.
According to estimates, Canada, Cubarsquo;s fourth trade partner - with 15 % of all foreign investments in the country - will bere presented by more than 60 companies, chiefly from mining, food, construction and services. Canadian tourists are number one in the number of visitors vacationing in Cuba each year, with almost 900,000 travelers.
