I'm extremely excited to present to you issue 7 of CubaPLUS magazine. As always, we have included lots of information on this beautiful Caribbean island; both the traditional "must sees" and the unusual.
This issue highlights the International Trade Fair of Havana. The event gathers all kinds of business people searching to introduce themselves in the market of Cuba and others already established. Our intention is to dedicate this issue to people coming to FIHAV and to the new Cuba and tourism investment. Cuba is open for business and we are here to show it to you.
We also profiled Air Canada, as deserving your attention when you come to visit some of the spots we've introduced to you, such as the famous Floridita restaurant in old Havana, deserving tourist destinations in eastern Guant?namo Province and the African Roots Festival in the Havana suburb of Guanabacoa. Naturally we are also here to introduce you to the unusual, like Hotel Raquel, a colonial Havana inn specializing in ethnic Jewish cuisine and the search for underwater archeological treasures along Cuba's coasts.
Again as usual, we have spotlighted both known artists like Chucho Valdes and some you may not have met, such as model Katia Gil, who has proved she is more than just a pretty face, choreographer Lizt Alfonso, who combines flamenco with Cuban rhythms, and the unusual planetary art of Federico Reiners. We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we have enjoyed preparing it for you.
