Cuba's Jardines del Rey resort destination, north of Ciego de Ávila, is set to host the International "Experience and Traditions" event, a celebration of the island's most iconic exports: rum, tobacco, and coffee.
The Casa del Habano El Exquisito, in partnership with the Caracol Commercial Enterprise and the provincial Ministry of Tourism, is organizing the event, which will be held at the luxurious Meliá Costa Rey hotel in Cayo Coco, from October 22nd to 24th.
Alfredo Taboada, Director of Caracol in the province, describes the event as an unparalleled opportunity to learn about, discover, savor, and appreciate the unique qualities of these three quintessential Cuban treasures.
This third edition builds upon the success of previous events, aiming to further promote the sale of sought-after Cuban products to tourists and solidify the Jardines del Rey's reputation as a premier leisure destination.
Guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in Cuban culture with a range of outdoor activities, including a visit to the tobacco plantations of Florencia, a region steeped in the tradition of tobacco cultivation.
The program will also include networking sessions, auctions, performances by traditional Cuban music and dance ensembles, and carefully curated pairings of rum, tobacco, and coffee, designed to tantalize the senses, Taboada explained.
"We envision an event that showcases Cuba's rich diversity and celebrates its unique identity, while fostering strong relationships between suppliers, academics, and the dedicated professionals who make Cuba's tourism industry thrive," he stated.
For the first time, the event was heavily promoted at recent international tourism fairs in Spain and Brazil, and it will be a highlight of the Cubasol group's presentation at FITCuba 2025, to be held in Havana.
