The ACC will celebrate its 100th anniversary in style

The Association of Bartenders of Cuba (ACC) plans an extensive program of celebrations with a view to its 100th anniversary, which will be fulfilled in June 2024, it was announced at a press conference at the organization's headquarters in the capital's neighborhood of El Vedado.

The program of celebrations, to begin next July and until June 27, 2024, includes cocktail competitions with several stages, the culmination of which will be the selection of the 100-year cocktail, as well as the appointment of the Great Centennial Bartender, as announced by the President of the ACC, Eddis Naranjo. Likewise, he added, it includes recognizing the work of the country's bartenders over all these years, and selecting the most outstanding cocktails, according to their significance, which was not on the list of classics, created until 1959, to establish a group called Timeless Relevant.

A face-to-face and online conference with all the delegations of the Ministry of Tourism of the provinces together with the branch school of the sector will also be held as part of the activities, and tributes to those who presided over what was the precedent of the ACC, the Club of Bartenders of the Republic of Cuba (CCRC), including José Cuervo, the first to lead the organization. Also among the celebrations is a show in real-time or Reality Show (Master Bar of Cuban Cocktails) with an international character, tours of the most emblematic bars of Havana, exhibitions, fairs, and sales of artistic works and crafts related to the culture of the bar on Paseo del Prado, where in the building no. 111 established the headquarters of the CCRC before 1959.

The ACC is the oldest organization in the world that brings together bartenders. In Cuba, it currently has more than 3,000 members.
