The restoration of the Sagua Hotel for its tourist operation, gives new airs to this city, located in the central region of Cuba whose old part was declared National Monument in 2011; it is an outstanding space due to its architectural characteristics of different styles and times, mainly from 1850 to 1930.
Currently an intense constructive movement makes happy the villagers because it restores the original architectural values of this building constructed in 1925, sumptuous facility for that time with four levels, one of them used as a restaurant and reception and the rest for the accommodation.
A showy architecture which maintains many of its distinctive elements in several examples constructed in different times, mainly during the 19s and 20s centuries is among the principal virtues of the city’s central area, where this hotel is located.
There are also monumental buildings which still maintain their original operational effectiveness like the Parochial Church and the railway station.
Near to this place, hardly in a few blocks from this property under repair can be distinguished the Palacio Arenas (Sand Palace), rated as one of the seven wonders of the Villa Clara’s architecture, an eclectic style building, erected for residence in 1918.
