Biggest “Cuba Libre” Cocktail Ever Made in Cuba

The biggest &Cuba Libre" ever  made in the island was prepared by a group of Cuban bartenders during the first day of the 22nd Pan American Cocktail Championship being held in the Hotel Habana Libre Tryp of Havana.

The barmen participating in the preparation of the famous cocktail, in the category of classic contemporary cocktail recognized by the International Bartenders Association (IBA) were headed by Sergio Serrano,. Chief of the bars of the hotel venue to the competition.

To achieve that purpose was necessary a conic glass two meters high with a capacity for one thousansd liters and a little over 20 boxes of rum Havana Club Añejo 3 years and 200 liters of national soda TuKola, as well as a lot of ice and lemon juice.

This 22nd edition of the Pan American Cocktail Championship has bartenders participating from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Portugal and Cuba, as well as Belize and Panama as guests.

The contest that started on Sunday will close on the 31st, includes a Classic test and another Free, besides a friendly tests among the presidents of the national federations.

Master classes will be given and different meetings with the attendance of IBA personalities.

The preparation of the Cuba Libre was sponsored by Havana Club International S.A., together with the Spanish hotel chain Melia, Ciego Montero and the Hotel Habana Libre Tryp.
