The performance of the Buena Vista Social Club is, without doubts, the great attraction that suggests the International Festival Jazz Plaza 2018 for the penultimate day, a meeting that concludes next Sunday its 33th edition.
According to the meeting program, the audience enjoyed the Diva Omara Portuondo’s performance, as well as Eliades Ochoa, the lute player Barbarito Torres and the voice of the young singer Idania Valdes.
For the second night’s moment everyone present could enjoy the performance of the Cuban drummer Giraldo Piloto and his group Klímax.
In other spots of the capital city the performances were on the responsibility of the pianist Aruan Ortiz and his trio, a young instrumentalist of good steps in the jazz music’s universe to who more attention should be paid from now on; and the American saxophonist Ted Nash, member of the Lincoln Center’s Jazz Orchestra.
In the movie theater Mella it was performed the release concert of the CD Mi monte spiritual (My spiritual mount), by the pianist Alejandro Falcon, besides the performance of the legendary jazz musician Eandy Weston, and to finish, the quintet directed by the saxophonist Yosvany Terry.
The 33th edition of the Festival Jazz Plaza will close next Sunday with pianist Roberto Fonseca's performance and several invited artists.
