Canadian vacationers planning to travel to Cuba on direct flights from their country do not need to worry about a visa, as it is included in the cost of the ticket, the Cuban Ministry of Tourism reported on its official Facebook page. These travelers will only need to complete a form on the official website www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu at least one week before their arrival. Once completed, they will receive a QR code that they must present upon boarding the flight, the statement added. This process is completely free; no credit card information or any type of payment will be required, the site states, which also warns travelers that this information is official, as there are non-governmental pages with URL variations, which are not relevant and can cause confusion. Those traveling to the island via a third country must first obtain an electronic visa through www.evisacuba.cu and obtain a 10-character code that they must enter when completing the form at www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu. Those interested can access more information at www.gocuba.ca and follow updates on the topic using the hashtag #CubaUnica.
