Celebrations on the 502nd anniversary of the Cuban capital

Havana, the city of Wonder, begins this Monday the celebrations for its 502 birthday with a wide and varied program of artistic activities that includes numerous spaces throughout its territory.

The festivities will take place until the 16th, date of the founding of San Cristóbal de La Habana and, during all these days, parks, squares, streets and communities will serve as the stage for the great celebration that will conclude at the Karl Marx Theater, with a great artistic gala that will take place under the sanitary measures implemented in the country to avoid contagion with SARS-COV2.

The information was released at a press conference offered by the governor of the capital, Reinaldo García Zapata, who explained that the festivities will also include children with the participation of creators from the Hermanos Saiz Association, the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and the Art Instructors.

Have fun on the boardwalk, a space that emerged on October 23, it will also be available to Havana neighbors these days, while, as is traditional, the capital's population will be able to go around the ceiba in the Templete in Old Havana,, at 12 at night on the 16th.

Likewise, Galiano Street, in the municipality of Centro Habana, will once again be decked out with lights installed on the occasion of the capital's 500th birthday, representing the constellations of the Milky Way.
