Habanos, S.A. once again surprised its fans around the world with a new virtual event: Habanos Premier, in which it presented this year's special launch for the Duty Free and Travel Retail channels: Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills, according to a note published this Tuesday by the entity.

The new product consists of a new, elegant and practical humidor with 20 Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills (55 ring gauge x 130 mm in length), a vitola added to the brand's portfolio in 2010 and which became a benchmark for the Habano lovers.

Romeo and Juliet Wide Churchills was presented to the market as an excellent travel accessory, specially conceived for those smokers who enjoy thick ring Habanos, and are looking for a medium strength tobacco, excellent combustibility and balanced aroma.

These 20 Habanos have been made “Totally hand-made with long-leaves”, selected from the Vuelta Abajo area, in Pinar del Río region, land where the best tobacco in the world is grown.

Its balanced and aromatic blend makes Romeo and Juliet the classic medium-strength Habano. The name of the brand Romeo and Juliet arises in 1875, it has its roots in the literary tragedy of the same name by English writer William Shakespeare, while that of Winston Churchill is due to he who was one of the most devoted smokers of the brand, from his visit to Havana.

According to executives of Habanos S.A. the products designed for travelers who are fond of the art of smoking, will help restore the performance of the DF & TR Channels that have suffered greatly during the pandemic.

This is evidenced by the success of the 14 specialized editions launched so far on these channels. The Habanos Corporation, S.A.
