Cuba joined the International Code for the Protection of Tourists in accordance with the tourism of peace, health and security that this destination promotes, Juan Carlos García Granda, Minister of Tourism, announced this Tuesday. The announcement was made known by García Granda on his account on network Tourism for the Americas.
The International Code for the Protection of Tourists is a comprehensive set of principles and recommendations on the protection of tourists in emergency situations, not limited to pandemics, and their rights as consumers, the aim of which is to restore their confidence in the travel and provide sufficient guarantees to international vacationers in the post-COVID-19 environment. Currently 22 countries belong to this code
