Cuba was awarded by Travelers' Choice Awards ¨Best of the Best 2024¨ as the best cultural destination in the world by the largest and most popular travel and tourism platform Tripadvisor, according to the listing published by that site.
The information adds that the largest of the Antilles was ranked number two among the most popular places in the Caribbean, while it is in the 18th place among gastronomic destinations worldwide. “As visitors from around the world already know, this island offers incredible travel opportunities and cultural exchange,” adds Tripadvisor, while describing the Cuban capital as a mix of old world and current world architecture. He also recommends visiting several cities in Cuba, including Trinidad, a World Heritage Site, declared by UNESCO in 1988, Old Havana, the Viñales Valley and the beaches from Varadero, Matanzas and Pilar in Cayo Guillermo.
Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best award winners are destinations whose hotels, restaurants and things to do have received a large number of opinions and excellent comments from travelers attached to the site, in a period of 12 months. Less 1% of Tripadvisor's 8 million profiles receive the Best of the Best award, which means the highest level of travel excellence.
