Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez announced the probability that by the middle of next week or the beginning of the next the country will be able to start the first stage of post-David-19 recovery.
Speaking on the Round Table TV program, the Cuban president explained this can happen if there is no event that could delay that forecast.
At the Round Table, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz also spoke, referring to the measures planned for the three phases of the first recovery stage, and noting, however, that precautions followed up to now must be continued in order to avoid contagion.
The measures agreed cover various areas of the country's economic and social life, including health, tourism, labor and tax issues, foreign and domestic trade, transport, education, sports and culture.
The physical distance and mandatory use of the mask is maintained for all activities of the first phase, and in the second, the mask should only be used in public places where there are many people. It was also announced that from next Monday, the ministers of the sectors involved will appear in the said program to explain in detail the measures to be adopted.
