Cuba participates in the International Tourism Fair FITUR 2021
Headed by its Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García Grande, Cuba attends FITUR 2021, the first face-to-face fair on the international circuit of the sector, organized by IFEMA Madrid.
The meeting that will meet for 5 days starting on Wednesday 19 is focused on reactivating that important sector, extremely depressed for just over a year due to the epidemiological situation that affects the planet due to COVID-19.
During the day prior to the inauguration, the XXIV Ibero-American Conference of Tourism Ministers and Entrepreneurs (CIMET) was held, during which investment possibilities in the region's sector were presented.
The Cuban delegation is also formed by the Commercial Director of the Ministry of Tourism, Michel Bernal, Director of Communication, Dulce María Sánchez, owners of the country's hotel chains, as well as representatives of the Viajes Cuba Business Group, together with travel agencies.
Destination Cuba is one of the most important in the Caribbean region and is committed to achieving a safe tourism from all points of view for its visitors.
For this reason, it has adopted a series of measures, in accordance with the provisions of international health organizations and the leisure industry, including the Tourism + Hygienic and Safe Certification (T + HS), granted to the facilities that comply with established sanitary protocols.
