Cuba participates in international Tourism Fair in Turkey

Cuba attends the 22th edition of the International Tourism Fair and Oriental Mediterranean Trips (Emitt) which is hold in Istanbul, Turkey, with the participating of more than a thousand exhibitors from 85 countries and representatives of 600 tour operators from 105 nations.
The Caribbean island’s delegation which has a stand, is headed by Mercedes Abreu, general director of Cubanacán tourism group, and representatives of the Cuba Ron Corporation, Alpitour World, Blue Diamond and the trip agency Global Services.
The opening of this significant event that will conclude next Sunday 28, had the attendance of the Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Numen Kurtulmus, the General Secretary of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), Taleb D. Rifai, and the Istanbul’s Governor, Vasip Sahin.
The fair which is carried out annually, has the aim to promote the tourism development in the participant countries, as well as the business possibilities inside this important industry that every time acquires highly relevance in the world economy.
