A delegation from Cuba will showcase the latest tourism developments in this destination at the 45th edition of the Milan Fair Bit 2025, which will bring together specialists from the sector in Italy from today until February 11.
The representation of the Caribbean nation is chaired by the Cuban ambassador in Rome, Mirta Granda, and includes officials from the Ministry of Tourism, representatives of hotel chains, travel agencies and national companies, as well as Yanet Mora, advisor of this sector in the diplomatic mission of that country.
During the three days of Bit 2025, various presentations, promotional events and exchanges with tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, businessmen and the specialized press will be held in the Island's pavilion, as part of the Cuba Única campaign.
These actions will be aimed at promoting the marketing of Cuban tourism products, with the updating of the market in this European nation, one of the main issuers of travelers to destinations in that island country.
The Milan Tourism Fair concentrates the attention of experts and executives in the sector at an international level, and has the participation of more than a thousand exhibitors from 64 countries, who will show their offers, while debating current and future trends in workshops and conferences.
It has areas where the different Italian and foreign destinations will be shown, as well as others in which technological advances in the sector will be presented, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and those dedicated to lodging offers in hotel chains, among others.
Among the main nations that exhibit their destinations at this fair are, in addition to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Barbados, Argentina, Uruguay, the United States, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Madagascar, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland and Spain.
Buyers from around fifty countries will also be present, including Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Spain and the United States, according to a statement released on the official website of the event.
The Bit 2025 panels will cover staff training programs, the promotion of good practices for the development of the sector, ways to achieve sustainability and care for the environment, tackling problems such as overtourism, as well as the impact of AI, among other topics, the source said.
