Cuba Promotes Caribbean Festival in Mexico

This past Sunday, the Casa del Caribe (Caribbean House) from Santiago de Cuba promoted the 45th edition of the Fiesta del Fuego (Festival of Fire) at the National School of Higher Studies, part of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) Morelia campus.

According to a post on the organizing entity's official event profile, this presentation in Mexican territory is part of the Caribbean Festival's internationalization strategy. The festival is widely regarded as one of the most significant cultural gatherings in the geographic region.

During the promotional event, emphasis was placed on the distinctive identity, multicultural richness, and inclusive spirit that characterize the Caribbean Festival. Its crucial role in disseminating popular traditions and fostering artistic exchange between nations was also highlighted.

The launch served to strengthen academic and cultural ties between Cuba and Mexico, bolstering the Fiesta del Fuego's international profile as a vital space for dialogue, creation, and the preservation of the region's intangible heritage.

The 45th edition of the Caribbean Festival, scheduled for the first week of July in Santiago de Cuba, is set to be another opportunity to celebrate cultural diversity and reinforce the bonds between Latin American and Caribbean peoples.
