Cuba is today a country totally prepared to receive the most demanding tourism of the meetings segment, said Charo Trabado, president of MITM Americas (Meetings and Incentive Travel Market).
On Thursday, when the last of the days of the 22nd edition of MITM Americas took place in Havana on September 18 and 20 at the iconic Cohiba Hotel, Trabado asserted that the organization she presides over will continue to accompany Cuba in the development of event tourism. Trabado, who estimated that the 22nd edition of MITM was successful and productive, pointed out that the organization continues 'supporting Cuba in the growth of such a demanding tourism segment and we are committed to continue doing so,' she declared. She also said that the next event will take place in 2019 and will be held in Havana as part of the celebrations for the fifth centenary of the Havana to be held in November of the coming year. For her part, the general director of marketing of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, Barbara Cruz, said that the event overstepped the expectations of buyers and exhibitors who attended the event in order to position travel meetings, events, and incentives on the island.
