Cuba Salud 2025 Set to Begin This Monday

The most significant event in Cuba's healthcare system begins this Monday at Havana's Convention Palace. Around three thousand doctors, scientists, and specialists from over 50 countries across five continents are expected to attend.

Running parallel to the convention, which takes place April 21-25, will be the 16th "Health for All" Trade Fair and the 2nd Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair at the Pabexpo fairgrounds. These gatherings are considered crucial for showcasing the latest offerings in the sector.

This major event, held every three years, will serve as a scientific forum to discuss key topics on the Health Agenda through 2030. The experiences of participants from nations around the globe, along with insights from leading health experts, will contribute to building consensus on the main challenges to global health, ensuring access and equity.

The event will also provide opportunities to sign collaboration agreements and adopt strategic declarations in the health field.

The extensive program includes plenary sessions, roundtables, workshops, talks, and conferences, including the first Cuba-China Science and Innovation Symposium focusing on biotechnology.

Other highlights will be a publishers' fair featuring 18 titles by Cuban authors on health-related topics, the first National One Health Congress addressing the country's health strategy across all sectors of society (such as agriculture, education, and energy resources), and the closing ceremony, which will unveil the "Havana Declaration," outlining the major global health challenges in the coming years.

The 16th "Health for All" Fair (April 21-24) will focus on Universal Health Coverage and Equity in Health. It is expected to draw numerous companies from many countries, including around 11 from China, the guest of honor.

The 2nd International Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair, also opening on the 21st and closing on the 24th, is an important event dedicated to promoting wellness tourism. It will feature three key components: the 2nd International Medical Tourism and Wellness Seminar, the 3rd International Foreign Investment Forum in the sector, and the International Health Tourism Award Ceremony recognizing significant contributions to the service, promotion, and commercialization of health and wellness.

Cuba Salud 2025 is supported by various national and international organizations, including the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, the Pan American Health Organization, UNICEF, and UNDP.
