Cuba to participate at Turkey’s International Tourism Fair

Cuba will participate from Wednesday at the 25th edition of the East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition EMITT 2022, based in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Cuban delegation to the exhibition, which will run through February 12, is made up of representatives from the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR, in Spanish), especially from several of its receptive travel agencies, such as Havanatur and Cubanacan.

It will present the business tourism portafolio and the different Cuban sun, beach, nature, health destinations, among others.

Turkey is currently an important destination for Cuba, since it connects Europe and Asia, and its nationals also travel to this Caribbean country to rest and enjoy.

The Cuban delegation is headed by Cuban Ambassador to Ankara, Luis Amoros, and MINTUR’s Deputy General Director of Marketing, Eddy Santos, as well as other officials and representatives from travel agencies.

EMITT is one of the five top tourism fairs of the world and annually attracts around 45,000 professionals of this industry and tourists who seek new and exciting opportunities from destinations and travel agencies from around the world.

The fair is a valuable business platform that gives new commercial and cooperation opportunities to Turkish and global travel sectors and is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Turkish Airlines, in cooperation with the Turkish Hoteliers Federation and the Turkish Tourism Investors Association.
