Cuba’s diverse tourism offerings took center stage this Tuesday at the second edition of "Always Carnival," an event hosted and organized by Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in Canada.
The gathering, designed to promote exclusive Caribbean travel deals for TMU students and faculty, featured prominent tourism executives from across the region, including representatives from Cuba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, and Nassau.
Representing the island, Ghiana Galindo, Tourism Counselor in Toronto, highlighted Cuba’s premier vacation sectors. Her presentation focused on "Sun and Beach," Nature, and Culture and Heritage—themes that draw significant interest from the university’s academic and student community.
This marks Cuba's debut at the event, which Galindo described as a strategic opportunity to showcase the island's tourism potential to a key demographic.
The cultural program featured a vibrant performance by the Corpus Canada Dance Theatre, led by Toronto-based Cuban artistic director José Carret, adding an authentic touch of Cuban rhythm to the festivities.
Attendees praised the event for its practical value, noting the chance to explore competitive offers in the highly sought-after Caribbean market. Beyond the region’s world-class beaches and climate, participants highlighted its geographical proximity and rich cultural traditions as major incentives for travel.
