Cuba will present business opportunities in next virtual forum

The first edition of the 2020 Business Forum to promote Cuban exportable offers and investment opportunities will be held on December 8 and 9 virtually, reported the Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba (Mincex), Rodrigo Malmierca.

This meeting will enable the exchange between the Cuban business community and the world, in a virtual way, due to the suspension of the International Fair of Havana 2020 due to the epidemiological situation caused by the Covid-19, Malmierca said.

During the meeting, in which all Cuban and foreign legal entities related to foreign trade and foreign investment, as well as self-employed workers, will be able to participate.

A new edition of the Portfolio of Business Opportunities of Foreign Investment will be presented with more projects and committed capital than the current one.

For their part, the attending businessmen will also be able to learn about the new development projects planned in the Mariel Special Zone, through a conference given by its director, Ana Teresa Igarza.

This meeting will also allow the arrangement of work appointments between employers, as well as the possibility that the participating entities can present their portfolio of products and services. Malmierca added that some 200 Cuban companies will present their exportable offer with more than a thousand products and services, among which are the non-state entities.

All this will be identified with the Development Plan of the country until 2030 and with the economic-social strategy to boost the economy. Likewise, from abroad, representatives of foreign and local governments, chambers of commerce, business promotion centers and the entire business sector may participate in the forum, which may directly access information of interest from foreign trade and foreign investment.

For more information and everything related to participation in this important forum, convened by Mincex, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic and the Center for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (Pro Cuba), you can access: www.foroempresarial.mincex.gob.cu.
