Cuban bartender Rihder Fuentes (Isla de la Juventud), will be the Cuban representative to the World Cocktail Championship to be held in Rome, Italy, this year, it was officially announced today.
This competitor won first place in the classic style of the 19th Fabio Delgado In Memoriam National Cocktail Championship.
During the final ceremony of the Fabio, held in the halls of the Tulipan Hotel, in this city, bartender Joel Pons Hernandez, from the city of Matanzas, won first place in the flair or free style and will represent the Antillean nation in the Pan-American Cocktail Championship to be held in the Dominican Republic.
The second place in the classic style competition went to bartender José Luis R. Hernandez, from Camagüey, who will represent Cuba at the Pan American Cocktail Championship in the Dominican Republic.
As part of this weekend’s meeting, the statement said, the National Assembly of the Association of Cuban Bartenders (ACC) was held, in which the general director of operations and quality of the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba (Mintur), Maria del Pilar Macias, called to strengthen this organization, affected by Covid-19.
